Aylesbury’s annual children’s arts festival is back for 2022 and will be taking place on Saturday 2 July

We have a very exciting announcement to make! Aylesbury’s annual children’s arts festival is back for 2022 and will be taking place on Saturday 2 July with tickets going on sale today, Wednesday 30 March.

This summer Whizzfizzers will be pleased to hear that this popular family festival will be back to its full whizzfizzing glory.

In addition to two headlining family-friendly authors there’ll be interactive arts, singing, dancing, a parade, performances and magical mayhem plus lots, lots more which will entertain people of all ages.

Joining us on the day, to celebrate children’s literature we are proud to announce this year’s authors are:

International best-seller Lauren Child MBE, author and illustrator of the critically acclaimed Clarice Bean series. Lauren is also known for her other much-loved characters Charlie and Lola, Ruby Redfort and Hubert Horatio. Hear all about her simply delightful new summer novel, Clarice Bean: Scram! a story of seemingly endless holidays, sibling rivalry, domestic comedy, and the incredible excitement of a first pet.

Next in the literary line-up is Chris Smith, one half of best-selling author duo with Greg James known for their award-winning and best seller around the world, Kid Normal series. Chris will be introducing Whizzfizzers to his fantastically funny new book Frankie Best Hates Quests.

Come and meet Lauren and Chris, and get your very own signed copy of one of their books, plus you can take the opportunity to ask for tips on how to write your very own best seller!

New for 2022 is an interactive show called Book Club for Super-Spies which will launch at the festival and then tour to various libraries across Buckinghamshire during the school summer holidays. The show is aimed at 5-10 year olds and their families and is full of music, mystery and mayhem. Details about dates, venues and how to book your tickets will be available on the WhizzFizzFest’s website soon but for now, check out the Super Spies trailer at: www.angelexit.co.uk/shows/book-club-for-super-spies
