These terms and conditions relate to the Young Artist Showcase on the Event Stage at the WhizzFizzFest 2022 Event.
By completing the application form, applicants must be available to take part in the showcase between either 11.45am – 1pm or 3 – 4pm on Saturday 02 July in Market Square, Aylesbury HP20 1TR.
This showcase is being coordinated and run by Dan Blasor (DJ Dan Blaze) and he will be contacting any successful applicants to arrange the details of the performance.
As part of the application process applicants will be asked to provide information on the type of performance that they intend to give. You must also indicate any equipment you will be bringing and requirements of that equipment (power etc.) to ensure that the necessary equipment will be available. If certain pieces of equipment are not available on the stage, we will not be able to include your performance. Staging, microphones and some audiovisual equipment will be provided. In the event that there are more applicants than available slots, a selection process will ensue to select the proposed performances of highest quality, impact and creativity based on the explanation/example provided.
Any intended performance type must be communicated within the application form to ensure it is workable within the constraints of the Event.
This showcase is open to anyone aged 4-16 on the day of the Event.
Timings for applicants slot to take part, and where and when to meet the Stage Manager will be communicated to contestants ahead of the Event.
WhizzFizzFest reserves the right to stop a slot if the performance is deemed derogatory, offensive or otherwise inappropriate in keeping with the family friendly ethos of the Event. The decision of the Stage Manager is final.
For the purpose of these terms and conditions, applicants will be called contestants.
These terms and conditions relate to the Live Art competition on the Event Stage at the WhizzFizzFest 2022 Event.
By completing the application form, contestants must be available to take part in the competition between 11.30am – 3.30pm on Saturday 02 July in Market Square, Aylesbury HP20 1TR. Contestants agree to create a 2D artwork on the Event stage based on a defined theme which contestants will be told in advance of the event. This artwork must be completed in the 5-minute time slot.
As part of the application process contestants will be asked to provide either a written or drawn explanation/example of the proposed artwork. This will remain the applicants’ intellectual property and will not be used by WhizzFizzFest unless selected for this or other activity.

Artistic methods accepted are paint, pen, pencil, etching, spray paint and other suitable 2D practices. Any intended method that is not mentioned above must be communicated within the application form to ensure it is workable within the constraints of the Event.
This competition is open to anyone aged 10-16 on the day of the Event.
The winning entry will be decided on the day through audience interaction and a panel of WhizzFizzFest partners. The prize is one complimentary voucher to an art workshop hosted by Queens Park Arts Centre. Winners will be provided with their prize on the day after the final Live Art slot. If contestants are not in attendance for the final to collect their voucher it will be forfeit to the second placed contestant. If no contestants are available to collect the prize it will be forfeited.
The art workshop offered as a prize will take place over the summer school holidays at Queens Park Arts Centre in Aylesbury. This workshop is run by Queens Park Arts Centre – full privacy statement and T&Cs for the workshops can be viewed by accessing https://queensparkarts.com/. WhizzFizzFest and Buckinghamshire Council can accept no liability for any issues relating to this workshop prize.
Timings for contestants’ slot to take part, for the winning announcement and where and when to meet the Stage Manager will be communicated to contestants ahead of the Event.
We will provide supplies for use on the day. Any additional supplies contestants wish to bring must be communicated with, and agreed by, the organisers before the Event. Contestants must supply these themselves and no reimbursement will be made. WhizzFizzFest will supply a suitable canvas, stand and protective sheets for the stage floor. All other materials will need to be provided by the contestants.
WhizzFizzFest reserves the right to stop a slot if the artwork is deemed derogatory, offensive or otherwise inappropriate in keeping with the family friendly ethos of the Event. The decision of the Stage Manager is final. No reimbursement of supplies will be due in this instance.
All artworks will be exhibited at the Petri Dish Cultural & Community Centre in Aylesbury for two weeks. Following this two-week period contestants are welcome to collect their artwork from the venue before Sunday 24 July. Following this date the Petri Dish will either dispose of it or keep it as part of the venue.
These terms and conditions related to the free ticket giveaway being run on WhizzFizzFest social media platforms for the Lauren Child show as part of the event.
By commenting on the post, applicants will be entered into a prize draw to win four free tickets to the show on Saturday 02 July 2022 at 2pm in St Mary’s Church, Aylesbury, HP20 2JJ, and a copy of the book she will be presenting – ‘Clarice Bean: Scram!’.
No other prizes or cash alternatives are available.
At least one adult over the age of 18 must accompany any ticket holders under the age of 18 to the show on the day. Full T&Cs for the author shows will be sent to you ahead of the event.
If you consent to share your address, we will endeavour to post you the book before the day of the event. If you do not consent or it is not feasible to post the book to you, you will be able to collect it on the day at St Mary’s Church between 1-4pm.
Only one entry per person will be counted in the prize draw.
Any comments that are deemed to not be in the spirit of the event will be removed and you will not be entered into the prize draw
